A sliding ratio plan is in effect to wheat out the so called "banner farm" sites. Banner farm sites display hundreds of banners on a single page just to earn some quick credits so they can put their own banner on quality sites.
Advertisers and members do not get a good return from exchanging this ad space so with the sliding-ratio plan we can eliminate and discourage this type of inefficient adspace to the benefit of the hundreds of great quality sites in our network.
On the other hand websites with real content updated on a regular basis delivering from just a quarter of a percent CTR are rewarded with a generous 3:2 ratio. They can rest asured that by the end of the day their own banner is displayed on equally high quality websites throughout our network.
Please note that we also have systems in place to detect click fraud. Therefore repeatedly clicking on banners will not be rewarded or generate a better CTR for the site. Websites with zero or little click through (possibly banner farm pages) receive 1 impression or less for every 10 they deliver. Further their account stands to be terminated.
Any page with more than 2 banner ads from our exchange and a maximum of 5 banner ads on a single page in total is very close to be considered a banner farm. We investigate each single incident and reserve the right to disqualify a site at our sole discretion and without any further explanation.
